Roof insulation
Roof insulation involves placing a material (usually reflective foil, membranes, or breathable fabric) under your roof covering (tiles or metal sheets) to improve your property’s thermal efficiency. The main purpose of roof insulation is to reduce heat loss in winter, keep your home cool in summer, and prevent condensation from accumulating under your roof, which could lead to issues like mould, dampness, and structural damage.
In addition to roof insulation, other elements such as ceiling insulation, underfloor insulation, and cavity wall insulation can work together to maximise the thermal performance of your home.
